Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Two exciting events are scheduled for South Florida this weekend less than thirty minutes apart. The weekend kicks off with the Peak South Lacrosse Social at Renegades Bar and Grill in West Palm Beach on December 1st from 8:00pm-10:00pm.  This event is open to all high school and club coaches.  The Social is an opportunity to meet and speak with coaches from the NCAA’s toughest conferences including the Ivy, Big East, and NESCAC schools.  They will be in town for the Peak South event and are providing this forum to meet area coaches and answer any questions you have about the recruiting process, lacrosse in general, or just to say hello.  If you are interested in attending this event shoot an email to Jason Carlstrom at carlstrom@loggerheadlacrosse.com. Peak South features 62 college hopefuls from Florida as well as another 40 players from around the country.  College coaches will be coaching the players throughout the weekend.  The lacrosse gets going at 8:00 Saturday morning with registration followed by a morning of instruction and recruiting discussions.  Games begin at 2:00 pm and will continue into the evening under the lights at Cardinal Newman HS.  Games will pick up again on Sunday morning and wrap up around noon. More information about Peak South can be found at the Peak South website. Not too far way the Wellington Lacrosse Classic is set to host forty one teams in six boys divisions and a high school girls division.  The tournament takes place at the Wellington Village Park fields and begins at 8:00 am Saturday with a champion in each division to be crowned on Sunday afternoon.  Some of the clubs attending include Florida Elite, Empire Elite, Blue Devil Elite, The Stone Crabs, Palm Beach Storm and many more. The schedule and location information can be found at the Wellington Lacrosse Classic website. The FloridaLacrosseNews.com crew will be bouncing back and forth with our video camera and posting updates during the weekend.  Be sure to follow us on Twitter @FloridaLX to keep up to date!
