Playoff Preview – Cardinal Mooney Hosts Bishop Verot
Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in Uncategorized.
This is a matchup between two teams that met twice this season already, in a home and home, and Cardinal Mooney prevailed both times in similar fashion, winning 15-10 on the road in the first game of the season and then again 14-10 at home later, so there should be no surprises between the two teams.
Cardinal Mooney represents District 25 and Bishop Verot District 26. Mooney easily won their District, outscoring their two opponents 30-10 while
Verot struggled with Estero in the first round and Canterbury Ft. Myers in the finals. Neither team has a true quality win this year and Cardinal Mooney has clearly played the tougher schedule. Bishop Verot gave up a lot of goals late in the season and that is not the way you want to prepare for the playoffs.
It looks like Cardinal Mooney should be the favorite to move on given their better preparation and the two regular season wins over their opponent.
