When the first play of the game is a fast break face-off win by Ponte Vedra’s Senior Air Force commit Logan Taucher whose shot, above, was stopped by Jupiter’s Bryant commit Viper Scheele, those in attendance knew they were in for a special night. Jupiter won 10 -8. New England won the Super Bowl. Both games could have gone the other way.
Jupiter jumped out to a 4-1 lead only to have the Sharks tie it at 4 by the end of the first period. Back and forth it went with both teams taking and losing the lead throughout the game. The play was fast, skilled and quite frankly, fabulous. Both coaches know they have special teams, good enough to win it all, but there are a few more teams in the state with similar quality. All this means is we have have some good stuff ahead of us and no clear cut favorite.
Since Lee decided he better check out St. Thomas and Barron Collier, his normal dialog is missing, so you are getting a photo essay instead. Wells Dusenbury from espnwestpalm.com @dusereport1063 will have comments on his site and with Lee on this week’s podcast which will be recorded Sunday night and published most likely on Monday. Ponte Vedra spent the night in South Florida and travels to Gulliver today. Go watch that one!
