Summerlin Military Academy traveled to Lakeland Thursday evening to face their cross-county conference rivals for the second time this season. After a sluggish start, the offense for the Summerlin Cadets turned up the heat and did not look back. Lead by Senior Michael Chase (5 goals, 3 assist) the Cadets had 9 players that scored, including d-pole Jesse Sansom. Quinn Bonner (4 take-aways, 5 gb’s) lead the way on defense to shut down Lakeland’s offense. Goalie Robert “BIGGIE SMALLS” Lassen and D-Pole Aiden Parks lead the Man-Down defense to 6 stops in the second half. Christian Waters won 14 of 19 face-offs to help set the pace. The Summerlin Cadets will travel to Clearwater on Sunday to face the Cannon School from Canton, NC. The Cadets will then travel to Admiral Farragut Academy next Friday where the two Academies will have a Florida High School version of the ARMY vs NAVY game.
