WINTER PARK, Fla. (January 9, 2012)-  Preparations are well underway for the 2012 Rollins men’s lacrosse season, a year that will have special meaning to the Tars. The team and coaching staff will dedicate the year to Robert Hudson Atkins Sr., father of Tars’ midfielder, Hudson Atkins, who passed away this fall after a long battle with cancer. Although Robert never got to see a game in Winter Park, he was a long time supporter of the program and team. In remembrance of Atkins Sr., each player will wear the initials RHA on their helmets throughout the season. The Rollins men’s lacrosse team will open up the 2012 slate in North Carolina as they face Mars Hill on February 9 at 4 p.m.  For the latest news on the Tars, check out the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
