Despite being down 8-2 at the half, the Lions would not give up. Saint Leo scored the first two goals of the second half, making it just a four-point game. The two teams would each score six goals in the second half, but it was not enough for Saint Leo to overcome the six-point deficit they had mounted in the first half. Junior Katherine Larson was the lone Lion to score multiple goals, tallying both first half goals for the team, and scoring the final goal of the game.
