Players battle for a loose ball during the SMiLe tournament in 2014Eastside High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse is proud to announce the Fourth Annual SMiLe Lacrosse Invitational and 5k run. The tournament will be held in Gainesville on Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th 2015. The SMiLe Tournament was started by Coach Chuck Rogan as a celebration of Sarah Landauer’s life. Sarah was a star athlete and student at Eastside High School whose life was cut short in 2012. The tournament features boys and girls teams from the around state of Florida competing in the two day event that includes a 5k on Saturday morning. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sarah Landauer Endowment at the University of Florida (www.sarahlandauer.org).
