
Friends of Brevard Lacrosse to Host Level 1 USL Clinic

Friends of Brevard Lacrosse and Eau Gallie High School will host a US Lacrosse Level 1 Instructional Clinic for boys and girls on Nov 8, 2014 at Eau Gallie High School. The clinic is open to high school faculty and community coaches wishing to supplement their FHSAA sport specific training requirement, youth coaches and parents or players that want to learn the basics of lacrosse with hands-on instruction from qualified instructors. The Level 1 clinic is designed to introduce coaches to the responsibilities and philosophies of coaching and how to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth and sportsmanship. The Level 1 curriculum provides the tools to teach rules, basic individual skills, and basic team concepts to beginning players of all ages. This baseline training is relevant for all lacrosse coaches, regardless of experience. It includes approximately seven hours of classroom and hands-on instruction, workbook, with lunch. It is led by US Lacrosse instructors.
