A loss in the Conn. state championship game by New Canaan helps propel LHP up one spot to #49 in the National RankingsAs the season winds down throughout the country (only Massachusetts is still playing) the next to last poll of the year is in.  Florida has two teams in the nation-wide top 50 poll.

Highest Mover: Shoreham-Wading River (Shoreham, N.Y.) moves up six spots to No. 42 this week after winning the Class C state championship.

Highest Newcomer: No. 37 Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, N.Y.) moves back into the rankings at No. 37 after dropping out last week.

Welcome: Overall, four new teams enter the rankings this week: Fayetteville-Manlius; No. 46 Delbarton (Morristown, N.J.), No. 48 South River (Edgewater, Md.) and No. 50 Langley (McLean, Va.).
