St. Andrew’s Falls to Nationally Ranked Boys’ Latin 11-7

With the Scots trailing the Maryland powerhouse just 6-4 entering the fourth quarter, the Lakers reeled off three straight goals in 1:52 and held off St. Andrew’s from there, winning 11-7. “A couple pipes, a couple of better shots,” said St. Andrew’s coach Tony Seaman. “Their goalie played really well in the fourth quarter. We played well, but their very good and we expected that.” Boys Latin, ranked seventh in the nation by Nike/US Lacrosse, improved to 2-0 following Saturday’s 14-9 win over Oxbridge Academy. Boys’ Latin senior attackman Luke Shilling, who will play at John Hopkins next year and is one of 13 Laker Division 1 commits, led the team with four goals on the night.   READ THE REST HERE
