Thanks to Brad from SD for the recap:
Stoneman Douglas coach Ryan Burton had his players ready to play at Cypress Bay on Wednesday night. After coming off a big District win 13-3 at home on Monday vs Cardinal Gibbons the Eagles were feeling good. The Stoneman Douglas Eagles first half of the season has been tough due to strength of schedule, but it looks to be paying off. They now look to keep their 2 game winning streak going into the second half of their schedule.
Stoneman Douglas jumped out to a 6-0 halftime lead versus Cypress Bay information and cruised to a 6-1 victory on Wednesday.
Goalie Jason Wyner saved all but one shot, shutting out Cypress Bay in the first half.
The team Defense played an outstanding game while the offense controlled the game, not allowing Cypress to mount a comeback.
Highlights and Stats:
Jason Wyner 24 Saves
Blake Israel 2g, 1a
Ryan Brodsky 1g, 1a
Tyler Gaffney 2g, 2a
