INDIANAPOLIS – For the second straight season, the University of Tampa men’s lacrosse program is among the eight-team field selected to the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Tournament. The Spartans received the No. 3 seed in the South Region, and will travel to No. 2 Lake Erie College for a Saturday game. The winner will advance to the national semifinals and meet the winner of the matchup between No. 1 Limestone and No. 4 Lindenwood. This marks the second trip of the season for UT to Lake Erie as the Storm handed Tampa a 13-7 loss on April 1. UT is 1-0 in national quarterfinal games after defeating Mercyhurst in 2014. The Spartans then fell to eventual national champion Limestone in the national semifinals. Tampa sports a 15-3 overall record and was the regular season and tournament champions of the Sunshine State Conference. For complete information on UT men’s lacrosse, please visit TampaSpartans.com.
