via press release   ORLANDO, FLORIDA—Team Florida Lacrosse is returning to Palm Coast, Florida for the 14^th Annual Elite Summer Showcase.  The Florida Elite Summer College Showcase has been the most successful recruiting event in the state of Florida for the last 13 years. The Team Florida College Summer Showcase will be held at the Indian Trails Park Sports Complex in Palm Coast on Saturday May 20^th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday May 21^st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for lacrosse players across the state of Florida regardless of high school affiliation, to get exposure to NCAA Division I, II, III and MCLA college coaches while also having an opportunity to represent Team Florida on the National stage at the Battle of the Hotbeds and Trilogy Lacrosse events up north in late July. When asked about the Team Florida Summer College Showcase, Ryan Wellner, the Assistant Coach of the Naval Academy states “I have been coming down to Florida for this showcase for almost a decade now. I always look forward to this event as there are so many talented players that are under the radar. Over the years, the great Florida athletes have now become great lacrosse players and Florida is definitely an area that many coaches are trying to recruit from. Team Florida has been pumping out some very impressive college players for a number of years and we at the Naval Academy are seeing that first hand.” Team Florida, now in its 14^th year existence, has always been dedicated to showcasing the tremendous talent that Florida has to offer. As Co-owner of Team Florida and Coach of U-19 National Team, Jeff Goldberg stresses that “We take a lot of pride in this event as a company. It’s the backbone to our program which is and always has been, to give our Florida athletes an opportunity to be recruited and play at the next level. Whether it is here at the showcase or on one of our travel teams, we feel we have done a great job of placing our guys in schools where they have an opportunity to succeed both on and off the field.”     There is a lot to be said in Coach Goldberg’s words as Team Florida has been responsible for placing over 100 players into college programs since its inception.
