Eastside and P.K. Yonge were predicted by this website to be fighting for the final spot in the district playoff at the end of this season and they will waste no time getting that fight started.  They face off at P.K. Yonge this evening.  This is a big district game for these two teams. District 15’s Belen Jesuit plays host to independent Coral Springs Charter tonight at 6:30 and another District 15 team, Ransom Everglades, will travel to Baron Collier.  Senior Danny Mora (Robert Morris) and his team will look to get what they hope will be a district championship season started on the right track. Another team with high hopes for the season is traveling up to Jacksonville to take on Episcopal High School tonight.  Chaz Moody, Dylan Finchum and the rest of the Vero Beach Indians are hoping to repeat as District 11 Champs and they face a rebuilding Episcopal team.  But Episcopal is an historically tough team and they will be ready. There are a slew of girls’ teams playing today.  Ponte Vedra is playing twice today.  The face off against Fletcher this morning and then they take on defending state champs, Vero Beach later this afternoon. Boone HS will travel to Lake Mary tonight to get things started in the Central Florida area.  Boone had a nice season in 2010 compiling at 10-3 record before losing to Timber Creek in the District 6 finals.  Lake Mary also finished as District runner up last season when they fell to Lake Brantley in the district final. Lake Brantley is expecting to repeat as the District 5 champs and will look to get their season rolling tonight against Lake Highland Prep in a non-district match up.
