St. Augustine came out fast and athletic. They absolutely dominated the Timber Creek wolves on ground ball and hustle in the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets took advantage of two TC penalties and scored twice, taking a 2-0 lead in the first break.
Timber Creek was able to get it together with Bruce Preeschl scoring twice in the first minute and a half of the second quarter. Preeschl would add another in the second quarter along with Nate Gillan, Joe Cassata, and LSM Evan Walker to end the first half with a 6-3 lead.
The TC Wolves rode hard and turned the game around on ground balls and ball control. They got two more goals by Preeschl giving him five on the day. Attackmen Steve Torres, Parker Watts, and Mike McAllister each added a goal as did middie Brock St. John.
The Final was 12-4.
Timber Creek is at home this Friday as they host Oviedo and St. Augustine will travel to Bartram Trail on Wednesday.
