Trinity Prep holds off Community School of Naples

Trinity Prep was able to hold off the Community School of Naples (0-2) to even their record at 1-1. The Saints rallied behind Junior Goalie Reid Gill who notched 18 saves. Sophomore attack Luke Macchia recorded 2 goals and 3 assists and Junior Long Stick Middie Ryan Hinkley scored another 3 goals and 2 assist. Junior Dylan Davis had three goals and an assist while Sophomore attack Christian Funk added another goal and an assist. Freshman middie Nick Cardamone also picked up an assist. The Saints relied on a solid defense to dominate the ground ball game led by Senior Tom Huffsmith who picked up 6 ground balls. Junior Jon Wiese also had 6 GBs with Justin Felder and Jake Smith picking up 3 each. A very game CSN team showed up ready to play. They were led by Dan Groom who picked up 2 goals and 7 ground balls. Alex Watson picked up the other goal with Tristan Joseph adding an assist. The Saints will host Father Lopez Catholic School (0-1) on Tuesday and the CSN Seahawks host Immokalee (2-0) also on Tuesday.
