The victory gives UT head coach Rory Whipple another milestone victory. - Sam Watts won the first face-off to start the game for Tampa.
- Senior Jake Schmidt opened up the firing squad with the first goal of the game at 9:32.
- Less than one minute later a goal from Chris Vetter, assisted by Bryan Wright gave Tampa a 2-0 lead.
- C. Vetter struck again at 4:37 to make it 3-0.
- The Griffins answered back to make it 3-1, Tampa.
- Matt Vetter had an unassisted goal with 00:02 to end the period with a 4-1 lead over Chestnut Hill.
- The first goal of the second came from Jake Mosher McGraw to bring the score to 5-1 over the Griffins.
- Chestnut Hill answered back to make it 5-2.
- Sophomore Andrew Kew gave Tampa 6-2 lead with 5:27 left on the clock.
- Conor Whipple was assisted by Charlie Cummins to end the first half of the game 7-2 over Chestnut Hill.
- Whipple from C. Vetter at 4:23 to give Tampa an 8-2 lead.
- Chestnut Hill responded with a goal to make it 8-3 with 2:16 left in the period.
- Luke Robideaux scored the final goal of the period with an assist from Whipple to make it 9-3 before the final period.
- Kew was the first to score in the period at 11:24.
- Chestnut Hill answered back two minutes later with a goal to make it 10-4.
- Kew fired again to give Tampa the lead at 11-4 with 5:00 left on the clock.
- C. Vetter had two goals and one assist.
- Whipple had two goals and one assist.
- Kew had three goals and two groundballs.
- Watts went 9-14 with face-off wins and five groundballs.
- Cummins had five caused turnovers and three groundballs.
- Marty Heyn had four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
- Senior A.J. Arnold started and played the entire first half in goal for the Spartans. He would finish with four saves.
- Bryan Karn played the final 30-minutes in net, coming away with seven saves.
- Head coach Rory Whipple hit a career milestone as he now sits at 300 career wins. The all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division II history is in his sixth season at UT and now has 72 wins as a Spartan.
