CHARLES, Mo. – The No. 4 University of Tampa Spartans fell to No.17 Lindenwood University Lions in afternoon contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Period
- The Spartans started the game with the first goal for both teams. Bryan Wright was assisted by Andrew Kew with 8:19 on the clock.
- Lindenwood answered back with two goals three minutes later.
- With just seconds left, Kew tied the game to 2-2, his first of the game.
- Lindenwood picked up the first goal of the second period with 11:21 on the clock.
- Conor Whipple was assisted by Wright to even the score back to 3-3.
- Kew picked up his second goal of the game with 3:15 on the board to give Tampa a one goal lead of 4-3.
- Just under two minutes left in the period, Lindenwood evened the score to 4-4.
- Shortly into the third period, Lindenwood broke through Tampa’s defense to give themselves a one goal lead.
- Late into the period, Kew snagged his third goal of the game with an assist from Sean Giampietro.
- The period ended tied at 5-5.
- Tampa held Lindenwood until the final minutes of play, a flag-down situation left Lindenwood with an advantage over Tampa.
- The Spartans lost the game by one goal, 5-6.
- Kew had three goals and one assist.
- Wright had two assists.
- A.J. Arnold had ten saves.
