Vero Beach Suprises Jupiter

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
In what looked like a heavy weight boxing match Jupiter and Vero Beach went head to head in a clean hard fought slug fest. Vero jumped to a quick 2 point lead in the first 2 minutes of play.  Jupiter clawed their back into the game against a stiff Vero Beach defense, eventually taking a one point lead. Vero’s offense countered each Jupiter attack and responed by scoring goals of their own.  They kept the pressure on in the second half at at one point got to a three goal advantage. Dylan Cannon led Vero Beach’s scoring with 3 goals and an assist. Vero’s defense, running on fumes with little or no bench as able hold off a solid offensive attack. Vero kept attacking and the match ended 10 to 8 with Vero on top.  Vero takes on Jensen Beach on Thrusday folowed by Creekside, Boca and Spanish River. As a side note; Vero Beach may be a team on a serious rise.  Their JV is also undefeated, beating Jupiter, St Andrews and Benjaman’s JV programs.
