The Wolverines beat the Newman Crusaders 18-1. Wellington’s solid defense led by goalies Logan Masta (4 saves) and Dylan Oporto (5 saves) and defender Chris Englert (2 assists), held Newman scoreless for three quarters. Leading scorer for Wellington was sophomore attackman Patrick Oporto (5 goals,1 assist). Contributing goals for the Wolverines were Tyler Kuhlman (3goals and 4 assists) , Thomas Oporto (3goals). Chris Sullivan, Hunter Dietz and Jason D’Aoust each had (2 goals). Freshman attackman Ryan Blum had his first varsity goal. Wolverines are 5-2 and play Miami Killian Thursday.
