After a soggy first half, the Dwyer Panthers led the Wellington Wolverines 4-2. At the end of the third quarter, Dwyer was still hanging onto a 5-4 lead. Wolverine Attackman Patrick Oporto had the hot hand for the Wolverines having scored 3 of the goals (Zac Meskin and Tyler Etten assist) with Attackman Ryan Blum scoring a single. To start the 4th with the Wolverines man up, Oporto hit Senior Attackman Jason D’Aoust who brought the score to 5. Under a minute later, it was Oporto to D’Aoust again to jump ahead 6-5. The next 3 goals were Ryan Blum assists to David Henry, Philipe Caro and then to Oporto. Allen Moye furthered the cause with an unassisted goal to bring the final score to 10-6. Goalie Logan Masta led the defense with several brilliant saves as Chris Englert, Bryce Dalton and Chad Moye shut the Panther offense down in the second half.
