In a well played game by both teams, Winter Park got off to an early scoring burst and led at the end of the first quarter, 6 – 3. Oviedo climbed back and by half time Winter Park lead by one goal: 8 – 7.
Each team traded goals in the last two quarters, and Winter Park outlasted Oviedo, 14 — 13.
Winter Park’s middie Parker Snure lead the Wildcat with 5 goals and 1 assist and 10 ground balls. Reid DenBeste had a great night in goal with 14 saves. Matt Krecicki added 4 goals and 2 assist, and Ty Price had 3 goals and 1 assist.
The Oviedo Lions were led by stellar performances from Davis Goodman with 5 goals and 2 assists and Dakota Dunmire with 3 goals and 3 assists.
