via press release   JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaime Chapman and Rachel Aus combined for nine goals Wednesday as Jacksonville routed Campbell, 17-7, at D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphins improve to 20-4 all-time against current members of the Big South Conference. Chapman posted career-highs in goals (5) and points (6) on Wednesday. Aus’ five points tied a career-high previously set at Howard on March 29, 2015. Danielle Della Rocca pumped in a hat trick and assist in the triumph. Lillie Miller added a pair of goals and as many assists. Erin McGuire checked in with a goal. Aus, Kelsey Wiglesworth, Kelly Lacy and Taylor McCord each had an assist. Aus, Chapman and Mackenzie Groark picked up three ground balls apiece. Erika Brager won four draw controls, while Miller picked up three. Brager, Hiron and Kristin Ridenour each caused two turnovers. Goalkeeper Kaylyn Kearns (2-3) made seven saves in 49:02 for the win. Mariah Cudlipp played the final 10:58 in net. “Jaime and Aus have given us a strong compliment to Danielle and Taylor on the left side,” Jacksonville coach Mindy McCord said. “Having Lillie as a freshman get four points and make plays all around the field was key. Kearns and Mariah were both strong in goal.” Leading 8-4 at halftime, Jacksonville (2-3) scored three goals in the first two minutes to blow the game open. Chapman recorded a hat trick alone in the first five minutes after intermission, as her fourth goal of the game put the Dolphins ahead 12-4. The second-half edge swelled to as many as 10 goals on three occasions. Jacksonville scored the first three goals of the game, coming off the stick of Hiron, Aus and Della Rocca. Sara Paul and Kayla Reilly tallied back-to-back scores for Campbell (2-4) to trim Jacksonville’s first-half edge to 6-4, but Aus tickled the twine twice in the final 4:38 of the period, including the second goal coming with just eight seconds on the clock, as Jacksonville led by four at intermission. Loren Day ended with two goals in the loss. Five Camels each scored one. Rebecca Sheinfeld and Mackenzie Koeller each had one assist. Netminder Merredith Bechler (2-4) made five saves in 39:43 in defeat. Kylie Haarhoff had three saves in the final 20:17 in goal. Jacksonville outshot Campbell (30-18) and won the ground ball (22-16) and draw control (15-11) battles. The Dolphins were 3-of-5 on free position attempts. “I am proud of our defense because Campbell has a terrific offense,” McCord said. “Holding Day to two goals was a goal.” Jacksonville hosts UMass Lowell on Wednesday, March 16, at 4 p.m. ET.   Nicholas Petrone Associate Director of Athletic Media Relations Jacksonville University Office: 904-256-7444 Cell: 660-888-3275 judolphins.com @JUDolphins (#FearTheFin)
