WLAX: Dolphins Entertain Towson On Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville continues its non-conference slate Saturday when the Dolphins host Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) member Towson at 1 p.m. ET at Southern Oak Stadium with the action being aired live on ESPN3 and judolphins.com.
Joshua Jackson and Tony Kienle will call the game, and live in-game updates can be found on Jacksonville’s women’s lacrosse’s official Twitter account (@JUWLAX).
Parking, in conjunction with the sixth annual Moe’s Southwest Grill Lacrosse Classic sponsored by LAX.com and Brumos Automotive, is $5. Admission to the game is free.

About Towson
Towson is coming off a 9-1 victory over Monmouth on Wednesday in the season opener for both teams. Angie Benson made five saves in her first career appearance to help the Tigers surrender their fewest goals in a game since 1990 and is also tied for the second lowest goal total allowed by the Tigers in program history. Towson had 14 caused turnovers in the game to Monmouth’s six. Eight Tigers recorded at least one caused turnover in the game. Both teams recorded five draw controls, while Towson held an 18-10 edge in ground balls. Breanna Hamm, Jenna Kerr, Carly Tellekamp and Emily Gillingham each recorded two points in the game for the Tigers.
2015 CAA Championship runner-up Towson was picked to finish second in the league’s 2016 preseason poll after claiming 28 points and one first-place vote. Hamm and Emily Roth was named to the Preseason All-CAA Team.

The Dolphins are 8-5 all-time at Southern Oak Stadium (formerly Ashley Sports Complex) but have won five-straight games and six of their last eight at the facility. The Dolphins are 50-16 all-time at home.
