When the first batch of 2024 men’s Division I freshman impact rankings went live on March 13, Cornell freshman Ryan Goldstein had yet to appear in a game for the Big Red.
After missing the first five games with an injury, Goldstein made a dream debut with five points vs. Princeton, one of the best games of the season so far.
Goldstein has put up 19 total points (13G, 6A) and has added an incredibly dynamic and shifty third attackman alongside CJ Kirst and Michael Long, the Big Red’s leading scorer. His place in this updated Freshman Impact Rankings reflects his sizable impact on the nation’s second-best adjusted offense, according to IL’s efficiency metric, without overreacting to what’s a smaller sample size than the rest of his peers.
