We’ve received the following information from Benjamin Athletic Director Ryan Smith:
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce Darren Lowe as our new Varsity Boys Head Lacrosse Coach. Here is a snapshot of his lacrosse background:
Played four years at Brown University
During his time at Brown team went 45-16 with the 1991 team finishing with 13-1 record and NCAA tournament quarterfinal appearance
Brown made the NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 seasons while Darren was there
Finished his college career with 316 points
Key member of US national team during the 1998 and 2002 World Lacrosse Championships
Received the Lt. Raymond Enners Award as the USILA national player of the year
Received the Jack Turnbull Award as the nation’s top attackman in 1992
Darren served this year as Chairman of the Selection Committee of the US National Team
Inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2007
Played professional lacrosse with the New York Saints in NLL
Former Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales at RBC Capital Markets
Darren’s father, Alan Lowe, played at the University of Maryland and was also inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame
Darren’s brother, Kevin Lowe, as an All-American at Princeton, also won the Jack Turnbull Award in 1994 and was inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame
