District 11 – Can Montverde Leap To The Top?
Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in Central Boys, Featured Posts, Florida Lacrosse News, High School.
District 11 was dominated by West Orange last year but with graduation of Mikey Berkman it’s hard to handicap where the District ends up this year. Montverde Academy has shown a desire to make waves in lacrosse and has hired US Lacrosse Hall of Famer Brooks Sweet to run the program.
Lake Minneola is also showing program improvement, Apopka has had nice records and Windermere High is coming off a nice first varsity year.
In the first round of the FHSAA West Orange was beaten soundly by Bishop Moore after playing only one close district game, the district final win over Lake Minneola and in retrospect I think keeping them ranked at the end was tenuous at best.
This is wide open.
