Class 1A, Region 1 is packed with solid teams, with 5 of the Top 17 (three-way tie for 15th in the last one) – Gulf Breeze, Maclay, Oak Hall, Episcopal School and Bolles but is not without some controversy of their own.  Just like Oviedo is not the #1 seed in their district despite the head to head win over Lake Mary. you have Episcopal holding #1 in their district despite their loss yesterday to Bolles by 9 goals.  Bolles made the mistake of winning that game after April 6th . . . District 1 is as much of a lock as any, in this case for Gulf Breeze, which went 6-0 in District, scoring 122 goals and yielding 13, with a 15-2 win over #2 seed Pensacola Catholic.  Put that one in ink, not pencil. In District 2 it is Maclay and that is also an ink prediction, since they beat #2 seed South Walton 15-2. In District 3 you have the Bolles-Episcopal issue, and a Providence team that started strong but fell off some late in the season.  Bolles rolled over Providence while finishing strong.  I see Bolles coming out of the district as the #2 seed. In District 4 it’s Oak Hall and everyone else.  No one is close. That would make it Gulf Breeze-Maclay, a rematch of a one-goal game, and Bolles-Oak Hall, a rematch of a three goal game.
