Sorry for the crude, curt headline. But this is RIDICULOUS After a great two years at Jupiter High, the passing of the torch to Boca Raton High has been mangled. Badly. It was bad enough to see FLAG FOOTBALL, a sport that drew a WHOPPING 448 paid spectators last year, included at the same site and the same weekend: FHSAA ATTENDANCE But the schedule of the weekend is now out and it clearly was NOT SET with the lacrosse fan in mind. At Jupiter last year, over 2400 people paid to attend and 2841 were actually in attendance. Palm Beach County STEPPED UP, hosting after the disaster attendance at IMG and the thanks we got for putting much more money in the FHSAA’s pockets is this horror show of a schedule:   Schedule: Thursday Girls Semifinals at 6 p.m. & 8 p.m. Friday Boys Semifinals at 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. Girls Championship at 8 p.m. Saturday Boys Championship at 3 p.m.  

The schedule for Thursday’s Girls semifinals is the SAME TIME as the Florida Launch HOME GAME against the Boston Cannons ONE MILE AWAY!!!

  When you look at that attendance PDF you see the difference between paid attendees at IMG in 2014 and 2015 versus Jupiter’s 2016 and 2017 is almost 3,000 fans!  Approximately $20,000 of extra FHSAA revenue thanks to the location. WHY SCREW WITH THAT???   This is the FHSAA Flag Football Schedule:   Schedule:  SATURDAY ONLY!!! 1A Semifinal #1 at 9 a.m. 1A Semifinal #2 at 10:30 a.m. 2A Semifinal #1 at 12 p.m. 2A Semifinal #2 at 1:30 p.m. 1A Championship at 6 p.m. 2A Championship at 7:30 p.m.  

#STUPID Flag Football was given MORE RESPECT in the scheduling than we did. And what about the Bright House/Charter TV broadcasts? Now they are stuck with TWO seperate days to broadcast, not one.  Same with the FHSAA’s TV but they can just slide into Flag Football.

  Change it now!!!  Put the Flag Football ALL DAY THURSDAY and go back to the original lacrosse schedule we have all had over the years! PLEASE How do you ask Ponte Vedra parents, and Bishop Moore parents, as an example, to have to spend THREE DAYS in Boca??  There have been instances of  BOTH Boys and Girls Final Four teams from the same high school!  And now forget about being able to root for both teams if you are a fan or parent with this abomination. Those who came up with this schedule need to explain themselves. To LACROSSE FANS . . . Because we’ve been screwed!   When we find out how the schedule was created we will further comment.  It can’t be a political correct reason, because the biggest hit is to the GIRLS side with the Launch conflict! Yes lacrosse fans . . . #WeAreScrewed
