2018 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – March 26, 2018
The IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll put Stony Brook (8-0) on top again this week. The next four teams also held their ranking: Maryland (8-1) stays at number two after beating both Penn and James Madison last week; Boston College (12-0) continued its undefeated season and sits in the third spot; James Madison (8-1) holds in fourth despite the 15-12 loss to Maryland; and North Carolina (6-3) is fifth after a week that saw them drop an ACC game to Boston College, 17-11. Penn (8-1) and Virginia (7-2) moved up to claim the sixth and seventh spot in the poll, while Florida (7-3) dropped to number eight, Loyola (6-2) moved into ninth, and Towson (6-2) re-entered the Top-10 after beating Florida 14-11. Notre Dame (6-5) jumped back into the Top-25 at #22 and Denver (5-3) and High Point (5-2) are tied at #25 to claim the final spot in the rankings.
Top-25 actions starts early this week, as Northwestern (#12) and Syracuse (#11) battle it out on Monday. Midweek play continues on Wednesday, when #2 Maryland welcomes Georgetown (#24) to campus and Virginia Tech (#17) travels to Chapel Hill to face the #5 Tar Heels. Denver (#T-25) hosts Colorado (#14) and Princeton (#19) welcomes Syracuse on Thursday, and Northwestern travels to face #23 Johns Hopkins on Friday. Marquee match-ups on Saturday include Notre Dame (#22) at North Carolina; Duke (#20) at Syracuse; and Boston College (#3) at Virginia Tech. Sunday’s games include Northwestern at Penn (#6) and a rematch between Stanford (#16) and #15 USC.

2018 IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll – March 26, 2018
After collecting 23 of a possible 25 first-place votes, Florida Southern (10-0) took the top spot in the IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll again this week. The top five teams remain unchanged as Adelphi (7-1) sits in second, Lindenwood (11-0) is third, Le Moyne (7-0) is ranked fourth, and Florida Tech stays at five, after a 15-11 loss to Florida Southern last week. LIU Post (6-2) switched spots with Limestone (8-2) after the Saints fell to Rollins by a score of 9-7. Indianapolis (6-1) and Rollins (10-2) moved up to take the eighth and ninth spot after New Haven (3-3) fell from the top-10 to land at #14 following a loss to Merrimack (5-3). Mercy (6-1) holds onto their spot to round out the Top-10. Merrimack had the biggest jump this week, improving six spots from #21 to #15, and Bentley (4-1) is the only newcomer to the poll this week, landing at #24.
There are several top-25 games to watch this week, including Tampa (#17) at top-ranked Florida Southern on Tuesday, Pace (#11) at Adelphi (#2), New Haven (#14) at Le Moyne (#4), and East Stroudsburg (#21) at West Chester (#13) on Wednesday, and Grand Valley State (#16) against Indianapolis (#8) on Thursday. The weekend’s games include Stonehill at LIU Post (#6) and West Chester at #20 Mercyhurst.
