PBA Women: Women’s Lacrosse Tripped Up By Chargers 22-10

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – After trading goals early with Alabama Huntsville, the Palm Beach Atlantic women’s lacrosse team came up short on Wednesday, losing 22-10 to the Chargers.

The Sailfish traded the first four goals in the first four minutes as Grace Bartlinski and Dom Barber both got on the board for PBA. From that point the Chargers took control, scoring five straight and nine of the next 11. UAH took a 17-6 lead into halftime.

Morgan LeBlanc scored two goals in the first half and two more in the second half for the ‘Fish as she finished with a team-high five points after also assisting on Barber’s first half goal. Barber added a goal in the final minutes to finish with two. Bartlinski also added her second of the game in the second half. Kate LeBlanc and Julia del Carmen both scored in the game as well.

UAH took advantage of their free position attempts, scoring seven times on nine attempts while PBA converted just three of their nine chances. The Sailfish turned the ball over 18 times while the Chargers managed just 12 turnovers in the game.

The Sailfish return to action on Saturday for their first road game of the season at No. 9 Rollins at 5 p.m.
