Gameday starts with breakfast alongside the Iroquois National team, before it embarks on a journey to Jerusalem and a youth clinic. The squad has recovered from jet lag. “Have you figured out what that is?” asks a player as we peruse the buffet selections. The bakery section is hard for me to bypass. Discipline is tested daily. This is the view from the desk in my hotel room as I do paper prep work for Sunday’s USA vs. Canada game. The seaside resort offers workout options, a long steep stairway from the beach up the cliffs is ideal for stair work.
