Standouts: The Florida Elite Lacrosse Showcase Powered by Triple Crown Sports

  via Inside Lacrosse   Excerpt: For the past 15 years, The Florida Elite Lacrosse Showcase has been bringing together the best players from every corner of the Sunshine State. This year’s showcase, at Omni Hotel Resort Championsgate, Fla., on May 12 and 13, was a great opportunity where high school players got to work directly with college coaches face to face. Coaches ran position-based skills and drils, and would later coach tea,s. Inside Lacrosse took a trip down to catch some of the rising talent out of the Southeast.

10 Players Who Impressed

Lucas Gauch, M, Niceville H.S. (Fla.), 2019 Southern players are known for their athleticism. Gauch brings the explosiveness from the south and fundamentals from someone that grew up in the Mid-Atlantic. Smooth ability to get down either alley with both hands, consistently showing both range and a skillset to get to the doorstep. Landon Spangenberg, A, Hagerty H.S. (Fla.), 2019, (Belmont Abbey) Second time I’ve gotten to see Spangenberg play, and this was more impressive than the first.
