via Tampa press release   TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s lacrosse team will start the 2021 season as the top-ranked team in the nation, according to the Nike/US Lacrosse D-II preseason top 20. Last season the Spartans were 8-0 before the season was cut short due to Covid-19. This preseason ranking marks the first time that the Spartans have held the top spot in any ranking. Returning for Tampa will be 2020 Inside Lacrosse Player of the Year, Ross Dickerson, as well as a pair of All-Americans in Jake Mosher-McGraw and Scott Phillips Tampa has now been ranked in every preseason poll since 2014, the team’s inaugural season.
