State Lacrosse Preview: 10 Things to Watch for With St. Andrew’s, Jupiter and American Heritage-Delray
Excerpt:
Lacrosse fans across Florida will descend upon Boca Raton High School this weekend as it plays host to the boys and girls lacrosse state tournament.
The boys side will feature an All-Palm Beach County semifinal matchup between St. Andrew’s and
Jupiter, while American Heritage-Delray will face Vero Beach in the girls semifinal.
Here’s ten things to keep an eye on this weekend:

That contest marked the last time Jupiter reached the tournament and the last time St. Andrew’s won a state title. The Scots, who captured 14 state titles from 1994-2010, won that game 10-7 en route to a championship triumph over Lake Highland Prep. The teams squared off this season, with SA winning 9-8 in overtime.
2) The state could see its first boys public school state champion
Jupiter and Ponte Vedra (who faces Bishop Moore) sit on opposing ends of the bracket and could provide the state with its first all-public school final. The Sharks reached the state finals two years ago, falling to St. Thomas Aquinas 13-11. St. Andrew’s is the only team in the final four who has won a state title.
