Flagler: Men’s Lacrosse Finishes Regular Season at Montevallo

MONTEVALLO, Ala – The Flagler College men’s lacrosse team closed out its regular-season schedule on the road at the University of Montevallo as the Falcons secured the 18-8 victory at the University of Montevallo Lacrosse Field.

The Saints drop to 2-13 on the year and 2-3 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Falcons finish the regular season 8-7 overall and 3-2 in the PBC.

The Falcons, who celebrated Senior Day prior to the opening faceoff, took control of the game early, jumping out to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. They kept the pressure up in the second quarter, netting another eight goals to send them into the break with a 12-2 lead.

In the second half, Flagler found a little more offensive success, netting three goals in each quarter. Drew Flagg scored two, Tyler Douglass converted two man-up opportunities, while Dylan Wilson and Geraint Shaw each added one.

The Saints now begin preparations for their first foray in the PBC Tournament, which kicks off at home this upcoming Tuesday, May 3 at 3 p.m. Fourth-seeded Flagler will host fifth-seeded Young Harris College at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
