4) Hagerty (10-4)

5) Plant (9-2)

6) Lake Brantley (8-1)

7) Newsome (10-2)

8) St Thomas (4-8)

9t) Boca Raton (9-1)

9t) Gulf Coast (9-2)

Also Considered:

Oh boy, what a difference a week makes!

Remember how Lake Mary needed a big win? Well, they got TWO this week!

Vero Beach by TWELVE and Bartram by FIVE

That’s quite a week.

Steinbrenner did not play this week due to another referee issue, as only one was available for their Newsome game, and the sides didn’t feel like risking anything this late in the season. A home game with Sickles tomorrow ends their regular season.

Bartram suffered two losses, one to an out-of-state power in Springside Chestnut Hill (PA), and the aforementioned Lake Mary loss. They finish with home games versus Fletcher and Bishop Moore.

Vero Beach finished their regular season, having lost to Lake Mary but rebounding with wins over West Forsyth (GA) and a big win over Pine Crest.

Hagerty continues their late season run with a big win over Episcopal School and a shut out over West Forsyth (GA). They finish with a 10-1 Creekview (GA) and Wednesday’s clash with LHP; they should be battle-ready for the playoffs.

Plant went 2-1 on the week, with a loss to Ponte Vedra at home, plus the wins over Shipley (PA) and Robinson. They finish with two games they should win.

Lake Brantley fell by a goal at St Augustine, and face both Episcopal and Viera to finish.

Newsome was upset by Riverview, lost their potential game with Steinbrenner due to a referee shortage, knocked off Barron Collier and I don’t see the Alonso result yet . . . that’s pretty much a weird week. Two easy wins should finish their season this week.

St Thomas handled Benjamin easily. They finish with a road game with Western.

Boca Raton has an easy 2-0 week, and we really get to see their true ranking, as they finish with a road trip to South Fork and a home game with St. Andrew’s.

Gulf Coast finished their season with a few stumbles against St. Stephen’s and Community School, but did handle Bishop Verot easily.

Manatee won their game and have only one game that counts, with Sarasota. Oviedo handled Lake Howell, but face Lake Mary and a West Orange team that might need a win. Viera knocked off two local rivals and have a chance to make a statement this week with Lake Brantley.

Riverview is add to the ‘considered list’.

Note as you see the Poll below, that I am taking into account the entire resume, which is why Lake Mary is still below two teams they just beat. Also remember that last week, Lake Mary was not even IN THE BRACKET according to the FHSAA rankings, which clearly means they need to take a second look at how that could happen!
