Saint Leo Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Alabama Huntsville 15-12

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team defeated by Alabama Huntsville in Friday night matchup 12-15.

The Lions now move to 0-2 after despite great effort in both games to start the 2023 season.

In the first quarter, Saint Leo got off to great defensive start outscoring the Chargers 3-1 early on.

First goal of the game came from Adem Tekman within the first minute of the game.

The Chargers came back in the second quarter with a strong offensive performance that saw them storm into halftime with a 9-5 lead.

The third quarter was a close one as both teams put four goals into the back of net to bring the game to the fourth.

In the fourth quarter, the Lions came roaring back to draw it to a one-goal game with just a few minutes to go.

The Chargers instantly answered back in that moment to bring the game out of reach from the Lions.

Saint Leo fell to Alabama Huntsville 12-15.

Up next, the Lions will continue on the road versus Montevallo in Alabama on February 19th. The game is scheduled for a 12:00pm start.
