Webber Women: Patterson’s Fantastic Week Wins SUNC Defensive Player of the Week

Tampa, FL – The SUN Conference announced its Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday Afternoon and Webber Midfielder Kaitlyn Patterson was named the Defensive Player of the Week. The Warriors went 2-1 on the week with Patterson being a key contributor in all three games. 

Patterson caused eight turnovers across three games as well as seven ground balls. Her best game came against NAIA #1 Lawrence Tech where she caused two turnovers and grabbed four ground balls. Against Catawba she had two caused turnovers and two ground balls and against Bethel she caused four turnovers and picked up another ground ball.  

Patterson and the Warriors are 7-2 to start the season and are getting ready to start conference play against Warner on Saturday, March 16th at home on the Warrior Turf Field.
