Head Coach Ray Ryan and his All Saints team are determined to make it to the district play off this season. In their 9 team district, that is no easy task. At 6-0 they are on their way.
All Saints Academy traveled to Tampa, Florida to take on the Dragons of Jefferson High School, Tuesday night, March 3, 2015. The Saints used a balanced attack to overwhelm the Dragons early taking a 12-2 lead at half to win the game 16-3.
The Dragons opened the game with the first 2 goals of the game. The Saints responded with 12 unanswered goals, the first goal was scored by midfielder Nick Wegman, followed by an onslaught of goals by the Saints’ attack led by Hunter Bennett, Zach Wilson and Fisher Williams. The Saints closed out the half with a 12-2 lead.
The Saints’ offense added 4 more goals in the second half to cruise to a 16-3 win. Hunter Bennett led the Saints in scoring with 5 goals and 1 assist, Zach Wilson led the team in assists with 3 and 3 goals. Fisher Williams scored 3 goals followed by 2 goals from Nick Wegman. Dylan Methot led the team in groundballs with 8.
Jefferson High School plays Jesuit this Wednesday on the road. The Saints next game is a home game against Durant on March 6, 2015.
