All Saints Academy Over Sarasota Military Academy 13-6

All Saints Academy traveled to Sarasota Military Academy Eagles for a non district game under the lights on Friday, February 20, 2015. The Saints eventually pulled away in the 3rd Quarter with 7 goals to take the win.
Sarasota Military Academy started fast, jumping out to a 3-0 lead. The first goal was scored by the goalie weaving down field for the first goal of the game. Sarasota Military added two more goals before All Saints answered with back to back goals from Hunter Bennett and Zach Wilson in the first quarter. Sarasota Military Academy scored again at the beginning of the second quarter to take a 4-2 lead, again Hunter Bennett and Zach Wilson scored in the second quarter to close out the half tied 4-4.
The Saints version of the Splash Brothers dominated the third quarter with help from three (3) straight penalties by Sarasota Military Academy. Hunter Bennett scored back to back goals off of assists from Zach Wilson. The play of the night however, was a no look behind the back pass to a wide open Fisher Williams who buried the ball in the back of the net. The Saints eventually scored 7 goals in the third quarter. The Saints defense also clamped down on the Eagles in the third quarter led by Chase Leland and Sam Mixon, holding the Eagles scoreless.
Saints head coach Ray Ryan emptied his bench in the fourth quarter and pulled starting goalie William Skipper. Each team scored two goals in the fourth quarter resulting in a 13-6 win for the Saints. Hunter Bennett led the Saints in scoring with 5 goals and 2 assists while Zach Wilson led the Saints in assists with 6 assists and 3 goals.
Sarasota Military Academy next game is on Friday, February 27 2015 against St. Stephen’s Episcopal at home. The Saints next game is also against St. Stephen’s Episcopal at home on Monday, February 23, 2015.
