The Apopka Blue Darters improved to 3-1 by beating visiting Hagerty 15-8. Apopka broke open what had been a tight game at 5-5 in the 3rd quarter, and scored 10 of the last 13 goals to cruise to victory. Senior face off specialist Caleb Hippensteel was the big difference for Apopka, going a perfect 25/25 from the spot. He is now at 83% for the season. Junior Ryan Theroux paced the offense with 7 goals and 2 assists. Senior Austin DeGross was solid in goal with 16 saves. Jordan Collins had 4 goals for Hagerty. Apopka (3-1) hosts district rival Ocoee tonight. Hagerty (1-4) travels to Winter Springs tomorrow.
