Acres of fields were covered with thousands of lacrosse players, parents, officials, and staff yesterday as teams competed for top seeds in ten different divisions.
The little guys in the U 9 division were tearing it up all morning with Stealth taking the top seed. Tony Lowe’s Snipers are second with the Laxrats (Orlando) and Braveheart taking three and four respecitvely. Those four teams will compete for the two spots in the finals at 10:30 today.
Due to a penalty, this poor guy had to sub in as goalie for Empire u17 – But he made the save!
The U 11 top four are Swordfish Blue, Snipers, Swordfish White, and Palm Beach Revolution. Their final is at 1:00.
The Bay Area Sand Sharks are atop the U13 Lower division with a new club, the Pasco Lions, taking the second seed. Stealth and Viera Vipers round out the top four. The U13 Upper Division will see the Swordfish, Laxrats, Snipers, and Palm Beach Revolution face off for the Championship. The U13 finals are at 11:20 (upper) and 1:00 (lower.)
The U15 Rising division is a large group divided into two pools. The Laxrats and Madlax Orange are top two seeds in pool 1 and PV Possums and Team Panther are the top two in pool 2. That division championship is

U15 Upper saw Jim Piggot’s Team Miami take the top seed with West Orange, Stealth, and Snipers taking rounding out the top four. That championship is scheduled for 12:10.
The U17 Lower group is headed up by The Sandsharks. West Florida put two teams in the top four of that division at two and four, while Stealth is seeded third.
Stampede LC took the top seed in the U17 upper division and PV Possums Black is seeded second. West
The LaxRats and Snipers will see each other again today in the U13 playoffs
Florida and PB Revolution took spots three and four.
East Orlando’s Ruffians are the top seed in the U19 lower group with Ballistic Hellfire in the second seed. Team 1 and Tampa Fire took the other two seeds. This could set up an interesting championship rematch of last weeks Laxpalooza tournament.
It’s no surprise to find Braveheart and PV Possums in the top two spots of the U19 Upper Division. Madlax and West Florida are the three and four seeds. The U19 groups play this afternoon with the championship games scheduled for 3:30 and 4:20.
One interesting story of this tournament is the absolute explosion of the West Florida Lacrosse Club. They have fifteen teams in this tournament in nine different divisions. It’s great to see some new clubs out here too, like the Pasco Lions. They also have a good size contingent playing this weekend.
