The Florida Launch has released its roster for the first game of the season against the Denver Outlaws on Saturday night and the roster definitely has some local flavor to it!
Casey Powell, head Coach of North Broward Prep in Coconut Creek will be in uniform. Mario Ventiquattro assisted Casey this year at NBP.
Making his Launch debut will be Lee Coppersmith, 2009 graduate of the Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, and a 2013 graduate of Johns Hopkins.
Also suiting up will be Nick O’Hara, assistant coach of Jupiter High School, Doug Shanahan, assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas and Chazz Woodson, assistant coach of Ransom Everglades.
Local fans should note that some of the players on the Inactive and Practice rosters are not available yet while their NLL teams are still in the playoffs. Also expect to see some of the Launch draft picks making their way into the lineup once the NCAA season is over.
