MELBOURNE – Florida Southern junior goalie Matt Lalli has been named this week’s Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his outstanding play between the pipes in the Moccasins’ 10-3 road win Saturday at Young Harris. On the season, Lalli is 1-1 in goal and leads the league in saves per game as he is averaging 11.00 per game and has a save percentage of 59.5 on the season. Lalli has allowed a total of 15 goals and has made 22 saves and has 7.98 goals allowed average on the young season. In addition to Lalli, the league named Tampa senior attacker Conor Whipple as its Player of the Week and Florida Tech’s Travis Wunder earned his second straight Specialist of the Week honor.
