thanks to Daniel Supraner, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications – Florida Tech Athletics for this press release   No. 12 Panthers Host Purple Knights on Wednesday FIT puts its highest ranking ever on the line in the matchup with Saint Michael’s MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Lacrosse) – Florida Tech (6-1) takes its four-game winning streak into the matchup with Saint Michael’s College (2-0) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium. The men’s lacrosse program made history on Monday, as the Panthers received their highest ranking ever. The Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II Poll and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Poll have FIT at No. 12 in this week’s ranking. Florida Tech was victorious in its Sunshine State Conference opener against Saint Leo on Saturday in Saint Leo, Florida. The Panthers jumped up early on the Lions and carried an 8-4 lead into halftime. Saint Leo made its way back in the second half, but its efforts were futile as Florida Tech’s defense clamped down and held on for the 13-11 win. Senior Andrew Conley had his best performance of the season against Saint Leo, pacing the Crimson and Gray with three goals and three assists. Senior Zach Wynne and sophomore Daniel Errett registered three goals and one assist apiece. Saint Michael’s defeated Rollins 12-10 on Monday night. The Tars scored the first two goals of the game but the Purple Knights responded with a 7-1 run before heading into halftime. An impressive second half comeback by Rollins tied the game up at 10-10 with 1:46 remaining, but it was Saint Michael’s who had the last word as the Purple Knights fired in two goals in the final 39 seconds to escape with their second win. Mark Yetter led Saint Michael’s with four goals and Tom Fitzgerald finished with three goals in the victory.   Live video, audio and stats will be available at FloridaTechSports.com/live.   Live Video, Audio and Stats: http://www.floridatechsports.com/live 2015 Schedule: http://www.floridatechsports.com/mlacrosse/schedule/ 2015 Roster: http://www.floridatechsports.com/mlacrosse/roster/   Daniel Supraner Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Florida Tech Athletics 150 W.
