Zach Roper and Nick Eldridge teamed up to score five goals in the first half to get the Blackhawks off and running toward the championship and the ticket to the Dicks Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions. Stampede played hard despite being down early and looked as if they might get on track with a couple of early second half possessions that looked promising. Georgia had the answers and played ball control offense through out most of the second half and sealed the deal.
