Get to Know Reid Thedford, One of Florida’s Top Uncommitted Seniors

Above – Reid playing for South at the Under Armour games.  Check out more pics from Under Armour here – “All-American South Boys Earn National Respect” When we started compelling our list of the State’s Top Uncommitted seniors I was a little surprised to learn that Reid Thedford is still on the market.  We watched him play a few times in 2014 and the kid gets it done.  He scores in bursts and plays solid defense and can run transition.  I’m not sure what else a coach can ask of his midfield. From Coach Spaulding,
“(Reid) led our team in points this past year. Best way to describe Reid…he’s a winner! The kid is an old school two way middie who gets it done at both ends and between the lines. He is an extremely tough kid and hates to lose. Has an uncanny ability to get to the goal but yet is extremely unselfish and leads by example. He is generally the hardest working player on the field. He’s a kid you want playing with you versus against.

FLN – What camps, teams, or clinics are on your schedule for the rest of the off-season? RT – Last weekend, I competed as a member of the 2014 Under Armour Underclass Elite Star South Team. We made it all the way to the semi-finals. I will be competing as a member of the Team Florida Jaguars at Hot Beds on July 20 – 23. FLN – How Would You Describe Your Game? RT – I like to think of myself as a skilled offensive middie that can play solid defense. FLN – What Was Your First Lacrosse Experience? RT – I started playing lacrosse in 6th grade. FLN – Who Was Your Biggest Lacrosse Influence? RT – Coach Spaulding FLN – Which College/Pro Players Do You Like Watching The Most? RT – Thompson Brothers FLN – What Is Your Lacrosse Goal for the 2015 season? RT – I want to help my team win another state championship. FLN – What would you like your teammates to say about you? RT – I would like for my teammates to view me as a hard working player. Favorite Meal: steak and mashed potatoes Favorite TV Show: Big Bang Theory Favorite Sport Besides Lacrosse: soccer FLN – What celebrity would you most like to meet? RT – Payton Manning FLN – What Hobby Or Interest Do You Have That Would Surprise People Who Know You? RT – I enjoy playing billiards.
