Joel White Signs With LB3 Lacrosse

LB3 Lacrosse has announced the signing of Joel White as a sponsored athlete. White was a three time All-American while playing for Syracuse University and was the first and only long stick midfielder to win the Lt. Donald C. MacLaughlin, Jr. award as the nation’s top midfielder. He was recognized as a USILA First Team All-American and Tewaaraton Trophy finalist during both his junior and senior seasons at Syracuse. He finished his career at Syracuse with 18 goals and 10 assists for 28 points while collecting 283 ground balls and wining two NCAA Championships.
White currently plays for the Philadelphia Wings in the NLL, the Rochester Rattlers in the MLL and is regarded as one of the best longs stick midfielders in the world. In 2009, Joel White was a member of the Gold Medal winning Team USA at the International Lacrosse Federation U19 World Championships.
LB3 Founder and CEO Liam Banks has made a habit of signing former Syracuse stars to coach in his program including both Josh Amidon and Tim Desko in the past year and John Galloway in 2011. Banks says he likes to work with people he knows well and demands that they are committed to doing things the right way. “LB3 is extremely excited to have Joel White join our organization.” stated Banks, “Joel is one of the most dynamic players in the game and he is also a phenomenal teacher who understands the correct way to teach defensive play to young men. I have been watching Joel develop since he first stepped on campus at Syracuse and I know he is going to be a great coach for our kids”
White will act as the LB3 Lacrosse Club defensive coordinator helping to create curriculums for LB3 teams, camps and clinics. His position will include working with the LB3 Philly Elite teams this winter, directing defensive clinics in Atlanta, St Louis and Philadelphia and running multiple LB3 camps this summer.
White keeps busy with his career as a professional player in both the MLL and NLL but says he is eager to add coaching to his resume. “I am excited to be a part of LB3 and to work closely with former Orangeman Liam Banks. I think LB3 is doing big things and doing things the right way both on and off the field. Being able to work with former players from Syracuse and teach the run and gun style of play will be a lot of fun.”
White will join current LB3 Staff and former Syracuse Orangemen John Galloway, Tim Desko, Josh Amidon, John Zulberti and founder Liam Banks.
