Ashtyn Hiron scored on a free position, and Della Rocca and Valdez both sounded the horn at the 7:54 and 6:03 marks, respectively. Quote “Our effort on the draw control and our ride was impressive today. We put a lot of pressure on our ride. We didn’t get the caused turnover stats but we forced a good bit. We won 16-9 on the draw control and those extra possessions helped us capitalize and have more possessions on the attack. I thought Danielle Della Rocca, Ashtyn Hiron, Courtney Valdez, and Sydney Matthews all played great for us.” – JU Head Coach Mindy McCord Scoops The Dolphins won 16 draw controls, went 12-15 in clears, and outshot the Wildcats, 43-24. Each team had 13 ground balls. Hiron won seven draws, and Day and Valdez each had a pair of assists. Jacksonville continues its eight-game home stretch with a Mar. 8 contest vs. Niagara. First draw is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., and free pizza for JU students will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
